Kathy Cotton has a passion and an ear for music. A native of Rock Island Illinois and born in Iowa City, Iowa, she came from a family that also loved music. Kathy's mother, Frances Cotton, was the lead singer in her church choir where she had her children singing closely beside her.

 

Kathy's brothers, Dwayne Cotton and Theodore Cotton are both musicians.  Dwayne currently tours playing lead guitar for popular artists such as Lloyd, The Deele, SOS Band, Howard Hewitt, Frankie Beverly and Maze, and many more just to name a few.

 

Theodore Cotton, now deceased, was a lead singer bass player, and Kathy's sister, Carolyn Cotton - Barnes, is currently the lead singer in their church choir. 

 

Growing up in the Cotton's family was always filled with musicians singing and having fun with musical instruments and microphones. 

 

Kathy has other family members that were also into music including her first cousin, Carl Cotton who sang with Enchantments featuring the hit song "Gloria" from Detroit Michigan (now deceased), as well as many other family memebers in Michigan and Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
